Eggs? Shoes?
You guys really don't like Tony Blair and aren't afraid to show it are you?

Across the pond we just show up wearing assault rifles, lolol. We're very civil.

Taking assault rifles to protest against someone who started a war strikes me as rather missing the point.

And throwing shoes and eggs at somebody is legal? :)

Throwing an egg... Yep legal. Nowt that can be done outside a civil court for the cost of dry-cleaning...

Throwing a shoe. Yep, also mostly legal unless you happen to hit them square in the face and then you get charged for assault. Of course if you hit Blair square in the face with a shoe you might as well go the whole hog and kick him in the nuts too at that point.

Most importantly however carrying shoes and eggs are completely 100% legal.

Where as carrying an Assault rifle in puublic is actually illegal and chances are you would get the armed response shooting you long before you got anywhere near a protest...

There-in lies the big difference between the outrageously stoopid camparison of yours.

Plus they, and everyone else so far, forgot to mention the plastic bottles - again perfectly legal to carry in the UK, or Ireland for that matter. Although the news didn't say if they were full of anything or not.....

Yeah, but the possibly-cancelled signing due to fears of a repeat is in London :)

I myself actually rather liked MR Blair.
