So, then ...
Anyone here following the final of this jungle thing on ITV? I heard that George Takei is one of the finalists. I haven't followed it - I barely watch much TV these days, and ITV least of all - but I'd vote for Mister Sulu to win on principle, being the incorrigible Trekker that I am.

Also, I caught the ITV1 station ident, the one with the nighttime street that suddenly shoots fountains of shining yellow water out of holes in the tarmac. Does that look like a bursting sewer erupting fountains of unmentionable stuff to you?

Actually, does anybody here still watch TV at all anymore?

Very rarely watch the thing nowadays, it plays DVD's, and amuses the little man, but, unless I know something is coming on, like Desperate Housewives, I very rarely have it on for me.

And yeah, Desperate Housewives is the only thing I'm really watching right now, other than new CSI episodes, most everything else is repeats so I won't watch those. Which of course means I have not seen the advert you mention, although, from your description that's a good thing! Sounds appallingly disgusting.

Sure, I watch a lot of TV. And some of it is British...Doctor Who, Torchwood, I'm A Celeb..., X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing. But I do watch quite a lot on DVD's and the internet. LOL.

I don't watch TV, aside from the odd Discovery documentary sorta thing. If there's a series on that's good enough to sit down and watch, I typically get it on DVD and watch at leisure rather than arranging my evening around a particular show.

None of the series' I own have 'celebrity', 'jungle' or 'brother' in the title. :p

Works for me.

I watch tv, tho mainly for music which perhaps I could use a cd for... george would never have won cus for some reason i'm a celebrity viewers have to vote for a brit to win...haven't quite worked out why yet...if someone wants to give me a research grant i'll look in to it...

Sad thing is, that sort of research IS what's getting grants these days :p

Sad thing is, they're being given out but not to me

You'll have to wait for your grant. I'm still waiting for mine - I'm conducting research into why snot and tears flow in the same direction. That's got to be IgNobel awardworthy.

Nar, thats just cus of the magnatic force the earth exerts on the the iron content of snot and tears... thats why even when ur upsidedown they still flow towards the ground...

Haven't owned a television for about ten years now. I watch DVDs on my computer, and don't really want to watch any TV show that you can't buy in collected form on DVD a while later.

I think I stopped watching TV a year or so before the first Big Brother series... seems to me that 'reality' TV was definitely the last big sign anyone should have needed that TV was a lost cause.
